Frightened Rabbit: The Loneliness and the Scream

Frightened Rabbit: The Loneliness and the Scream

According to some angry YouTube comments on this video, it seems that Frightened Rabbit recently got some play on Teen Wolf or something, but let me say I just know them from being good. If you aren't familiar, this track off The Winter of Mixed Drinks is a great place to start.

It's pretty obvious that the subject matter of this particular song is a bit depressing although it manages to do so in triumphant sort of way. Aside from the bit about having to scream in order to prove to people that you exist (which doesn't sound like something a Teen Wolf would really have trouble with...) the vocals are fantastic. It's not often enough that you get to hear an accent (Scottish in this case) bubble up through a song so nicely. If this is up your alley, I strongly recommend you check out the whole album, maybe this winter, with a mixed drink. It's a worthwhile listen. [Spotify, Amazon, iTunes]
